It was 25 years ago today, Aug. 28, 1999, that Rhino Colorado went out on its first call at the then Pepsi Center, now Ball Arena, in Denver. Rhino founder and CEO Jeff Giek was on that call (a rigging call) as were James Acuna, Steve Davis, Matt Hudson and Matt Lofdahl, all of whom remain with Rhino to this day. In speaking with Jeff about the job he recalled a sense of excitement on entering a new building (opened in 1999) with the prospect of work to come. Since that day, Ball Arena and owner/operator Kronke Sports & Entertainment have been outstanding partners to Rhino providing us many work and training opportunities there and at other KSE venues such as Dick's Sporting Goods Park, Paramount Theatre and 1stBank Center in the Denver area, and So. Congrats to Rhino Colorado for a successful launch of the new Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs earlier this month. Shout-outs to J Blain and Selina Martinez as supervisors for, respectively, the soft opening on the 6th and the trio of concerts by hometown heroes OneRepublic that followed. A tip of the hard hat also to Tony Caruana. Tony served as Safety Supervisor for the run of events and earned the praise of RCO's Natalie Rizzo for "doing a fantastic job!" Well done, all, and welcome to your new home away from home at the fabulous Ford Amphitheater! ... See MoreSee Less

The annual Twins Days Festival runs this weekend in (where else but) Twinsburg, Ohio and we thought we'd take the occasion to celebrate two of our own, identical twins Danielle and Desiree Robinson. Both serve for us, not too surprisingly, identical roles as Operations Managers - Danielle (at right in photo) in Nevada and Desiree in Florida. To the question of what is the best part of being a twin, Danielle answered, "There’s a twin connection that only we can understand. We’re able to read each other’s thoughts, know each other’s feelings, know what each other is about to say or even finish each other’s sentences."Desiree answered that her favorite aspect was being forever friends with her sister and getting to wear/exchange clothes. Nice! She added the fun fact that they are mirror twins and share a range of opposing traits as, for instance, dominant hands: She is right handed, while Danielle is left handed.Happy Twins Days Festival weekend, Danielle and Desiree! You two are one-of-a-kind! ... See MoreSee Less
